Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of BabyTyping.com, its typing tests, lessons, progress tools, articles, and printable certificate features.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Acceptable use
You may use BabyTyping for lawful personal, educational, and professional practice. You must not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass security, overload endpoints, introduce malicious code, scrape the site in a harmful manner, misrepresent results, or use the tools to infringe another person's rights.
Do not enter confidential, regulated, identifying, or sensitive third-party information into typing or contact fields. Use the provided fictional exercises and approved systems for real workplace records.
Educational purpose and score limitations
Typing results are self-assessment estimates produced from browser timing and entered text. They are not employment tests, academic grades, medical or legal assessments, identity checks, or professional qualifications. Passage, duration, difficulty, device, keyboard, browser, corrections, and user behaviour can affect scores.
You are responsible for determining whether a tool is suitable for your purpose. An employer, school, certification body, or other organisation may apply different rules and should rely on its authorised assessment rather than a BabyTyping result.
Tool availability and changes
We aim to keep the website useful and accurate, but features may be changed, suspended, or removed for maintenance, security, compatibility, legal, or product reasons. Access may be interrupted and locally stored progress may be lost when browser data is cleared or a device changes.
No promise is made that every device, browser, keyboard layout, or assistive technology will produce identical behaviour. Feedback about accessibility and compatibility is welcomed through the Contact page.
Certificate limitations
The printable certificate is a personal presentation of locally available test information. BabyTyping does not verify the user's identity, supervise the test, prevent edits after printing, or maintain a public verification registry.
The certificate must not be presented as an accredited qualification, an employer-issued record, or proof of identity. A recipient should conduct an appropriate independent assessment when verification matters.
Intellectual property
The BabyTyping name, branding, interface, original exercises, articles, and site code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Normal use of the website does not transfer ownership.
You may reference or link to public pages and use results for personal purposes. Reproducing substantial original content, reselling the service, removing attribution, or using the brand in a way that implies endorsement requires permission unless law provides otherwise.
Third-party services and external links
Hosting, email, analytics, advertising, or other providers may support the site. Their services are governed by their own terms. External links are provided for context and do not mean BabyTyping controls or endorses every statement, product, or practice on another site.
Your interactions with a third party are between you and that provider. Review relevant terms and privacy notices before supplying information or relying on an external service.
Liability limitations
To the extent permitted by law, BabyTyping is provided on an as-available basis without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, error-free scoring, fitness for a particular professional purpose, or preservation of local data. You remain responsible for reviewing consequential text and records.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited, BabyTyping is not responsible for indirect loss arising solely from reliance on a practice score, printable certificate, external link, or unavailable feature.
Changes, governing requirements, and contact
These terms may be updated as the website and applicable requirements change. Continued use after an update is subject to the current version. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue as far as law permits.
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@babytyping.com. These terms do not replace legal rights that apply in your jurisdiction.
